Glass Beams The Yussef Dayes Experience
Glass Beams, the visionary project of Melbourne-based artist Rajan Silva, was born out of a rekindling of childhood memories and cultural heritage. Inspired by formative experiences such as watching Concert for George—the star-studded 2002 tribute to George Harrison featuring Ravi and Anoushka Shankar alongside Eric Clapton and Paul McCartney—Silva channels the same spirit of cross-pollination between East and West, tradition and modernity.
Through their acclaimed EPs Mirage and Mahal, Glass Beams have crafted a serpentine, psychedelic fusion of live instrumentation and DIY electronica, wrapped in a mystical visual identity that has captivated millions of listeners worldwide. Their tracks—steeped in hypnotic rhythms and transcendent atmospheres—spread rapidly through streaming platforms, social media, and word of mouth, establishing the group as one of the most compelling new names in global music.
Now expanded into a trio for live performances, Glass Beams have enjoyed phenomenal international success, selling out every show on their debut European and North American tours, with demand prompting venue upgrades and additional dates across continents. With their boundary-blurring sound and immersive aesthetic, Glass Beams are redefining what modern cross-cultural music can be.
