The election took place during the ACC Annual General Meeting in Bangkok, Thailand, on August 25, 2026, bringing together representatives from major cricket nations and Associate Members across Asia. Mansoor joins fellow elected members Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Saud Al-Thani, Mahmood Ghaznavi, and Mohamed Faizal, while Khalid Al Zarooni will serve as vice chairman.

Mansoor’s role will focus on strengthening cooperation among ACC members and expanding development opportunities for Associate Members. Key areas include cricket infrastructure, grassroots programs, player and coach development, officials training, and pathways to international competition.

The appointment also gives the Bahrain Cricket Federation an additional platform to build regional partnerships and exchange technical expertise, further increasing Bahrain’s involvement in the administration and development of cricket across Asia.
